Maine Coast Doug Bidlack

ENTS,

last weekend we went to Maine to visit aunts and uncles in Eastport and Alexander...basically as far as you can go along the coast and still be in the states.  Mike mentioned some great places to hike around Lubec but I promptly lost what I had written down and we had to wing it.  One of the places we went to was the Bold Coast which is between Lubec and Cutler.  We hiked for about 6 miles and the coastal scenery was fantastic!  We could have hiked for 10 miles and we really wanted to but we had to visit with relatives later that day.  We'll certainly be back though... maybe even next weekend.  I'm not sure if this was one of the places that Mike suggested but it was well worth the visit.  The trees were essentially the same as those that Jenny mentioned in her recent posts and there weren't any really big ones.  I'm attaching some photos of the coast.  Four now and four later.  They're bigger than my previous posts because the scenery is just too nice
 to skimp too much.  Enjoy!

Doug
