Legacy Trees of Mount Tom, MA Bob Leverett
July 16, 2009

ENTS,

Yesterday, Monica and I kicked off our joint project to measure, photograph, and document what we are calling the legacy trees of Massachusetts. We will concentrate on DCR properties and several key conservation lands. We began with the Mount Tom State Reservation.
Attached are images of an old sugar maple and a not so old, but beautiful, white pine. In a couple of hours we'll be off to Mohawk Trail State Forest to remeasure the Jake Swamp Pine and start legacy documentation there.
