ENTS,

The attached image is of Marc Mertz, myself, and the Jake Swamp Pine in MTSF. The tree is scheduled to be climbed for the 3rd time by Will Blozan on Nov 1st, 2008 at the ENTS Rendezvous. Can those of you who plan to attend let me know. Dates are Oct 31-Nov 2nd.

Marc Mertz is a cool dude. He's an urban forester and a middle school teacher. He climbs trees, teaches kids, pays respect to sacred Indian sites, and absolutely loves big trees. He knows or knows of many Indian leaders who I know. He hails originally from St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Marc Mertz is a great guy! I once taught at the Bristol County
Agricultural High School as did Mark in the early 90s. Tell him I
said hello!
