Egg Harbor City, Large Tuliptree, NJ Barry Caselli
May 24, 2009

ENTS,
Today, just on a whim, I decided to measure and photograph the tuliptree across from the Wawa convenience store that I go to quite often. It's the first tree on the left on the 100 block of Chicago Avenue. The CBH is 11' 5", and the tree is extremely healthy. Note how it is growing over the curb. I believe all the older street trees in town were planted sometime between 1910 and 1920. There are many tuliptrees in EHC that are of similar size.

It is still in bloom, with many spent flowers on it as well. It was windy, so the flower picture is a tad fuzzy.
See pictures.
Barry
