  • Sixteenth Central Hardwood Forest Conference, April 8-9, 2008, Lafayette, Indiana  Website: http://www.fnr.purdue.edu/CHC2008/ The 16th Central Hardwood Forest Conference will be co-hosted by the Purdue University Department of Forestry & Natural Resources and the Hardwood Tree Improvement and Regeneration Center. The objective of the conference is to bring together forest managers and scientists to discuss research and issues concerning the ecology and management of forests in the Central Hardwood region.

  • The First American Dendrochronology Conference - AmeriDendro 2008 - is intended for academics, scientists, students, and managers interested in tree-ring research and its application in climatology, environmental sciences, archaeology, geology, resource management, conservation, policy, and society.  The primary focus of the conference is on tree-ring research in North and South America, but studies from other areas of the world are encouraged.
