Beech-hemlock Forest, NY   Bradley Burns

Great news! I found a beech-hemlock forest in secluded portion of Northern NY. This forest is fascinating with 90% hemlock and beech with remaining trees consisting of maple and yellow birch. Dozens of large diameter beech trees were found but many were also found laying on the ground. The large number of hemlocks over 20" dbh was staggering. I have purchased the land and will keep it for study and enjoyment!! I was able to purchase 3.7 acres.  Not sure how they compare with other areas but very rare around here to find hemlock-beech forest still remaining.

Thanks
