Beauty contest for trees   Robert Leverett

Michele,

Ah yes, that they are. That they are. Hey, maybe ENTS should sponsor a
beauty contest for trees. American Forests may have done that in the
past. I wonder what people would submit as candidates? Would the
ultimate in tree beauty turn out to be symmetry as with the American elm
or asymmetry as with the great gnarly spread of the Angel Oak? It would
all be in the name of fun, of course. We could select a panel of judges.
What do you think, Michele? Pamela? Ed?
It would be interesting to see if there is a significant form
difference in the trees that men submit versus women.
