Every year there seems to be a series of major fires in western United States. Therefore it is appropriate that the WNTS devote a section on this website to personal accounts of these fires, discussions and observations of how these fires affect groves of primary forest and other old landscapes, and the merits and problems with fire prevention and control strategies.
